RN Case Manager - Hospice New
The Community Hospice Website
No recruiters please
We're looking for Registered Nurses to help provide medical expertise, guidance and support to patients and families, during the most difficult time of their lives. If you think being a Hospice RN is depressing, you should really come spend a half day, or full day, with one of our Registered Nurses, and see how fulfulling the job really is. Our Registered Nurses focus on making sure each of their patients has the best possible quality of life, and whenever possible, continues living life to the fullest extent possible. Here's an example: an RN who works for us here at Community Hospice just took the lead in helping to arrange for a 43-year-old patient, and six of her family members (including 3 kids) to go to Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Amusement Park for Mother's Day Weekend! That's what being an RN for hospice is all about!
Most our patients continue to live in their homes, where they're most comfortable, and our Registered Nurses spend most of their time doing home visits. Although we do have a significant number of patients in local nursing homes, and some in local hospitals as well, so our Hospice RNs might visit them as well.
If you're an RN and want to find out more, we won't even put you through a lot of paperwork hassle just to apply for the job. In fact, we invite you to pick up the phone right now and call our executive director, Michelle Mazzacco, at (518) 270-1316. She'll answer your questions and, if you're interested, we can take the next steps to putting you on the path to doing the kind of nursing you always wanted to do! (If Michelle isn't in, just leave a message with her assistant, Wendy...Michelle will get back to you).
